DISPATCHER JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Dispatcher
Location: 2411 Sunrise Ln, Liberty Lake, WA
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Company Owner and Superintendent
Compensation: $37.00/Hour, plus benefits
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate daily field operations, including scheduling personnel and equipment, communicating with job sites, and ensuring efficient execution of work assignments. This role is critical in maintaining smooth operations and supporting both field crews and management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule and dispatch field personnel (e.g., flaggers, supervisors, operators) to job sites
- Coordinate equipment and vehicle assignments
- Communicate job details, changes, and updates to crews in real time
- Monitor job status and adjust schedules as needed
- Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews, customers, and management
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, time logs, and job assignments
- Handle call-offs, emergencies, and last-minute schedule changes
- Ensure proper staffing levels for all assigned projects
- Assist with compliance tracking (certifications, training, etc.)
- Set up contract files and handle other administrative types of duties
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills (phone, text, email, in person)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc.)
- Ability to make quick decisions and problem-solve effectively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in dispatching, logistics, or scheduling
- Experience in construction, traffic control, or similar industry
- Knowledge of WSDOT & ITD/ L&I & OSHA / traffic control operations
WORK SCHEDULE
- Typical hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Days: Monday – Friday
- On-call requirements: be able to answer phone calls and texts at all hours of the day every day of the week during peak season
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office-based with frequent communication with field personnel
- Fast-paced environment with frequent schedule changes
- May require early mornings, extended hours, or weekends
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to use a computer and phone for long durations
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Pay: $37.00/Hour
