Position Overview

Inland Infrastructure is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role is essential to the successful delivery of public infrastructure projects across Eastern Washington, including roads, utilities, and site development. The ideal candidate has experience operating a variety of heavy machinery and is committed to quality workmanship and job site safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and compactors
  • Perform site preparation, grading, trenching, and backfilling for public infrastructure projects
  • Follow project plans, blueprints, and grade stakes to ensure accurate execution
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Work closely with supervisors, laborers, and other crew members to meet project timelines
  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Identify and report safety hazards or mechanical issues promptly

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience operating heavy equipment (preferred)
  • Experience with public works or infrastructure projects is highly desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and grade stakes
  • Strong understanding of job site safety practices
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills
